Gym Fit - Or Not As The Case May Be!!!!!

Went out on the bike to see parents today - Spoke with them re poss new house and they reckon I should go for it even though I will be totally skint for a long time - If I don't do it now I shall never do it.

Came home and got stuff ready for the gym tomorrow with Shaun - I am so enjoying the gym and the company is excellent - Just hop I am not pising him off as I am well aware of the age difference but he is sweet in a nice kind of way and he seems not to mind me.

Weaked with food as supermarket was shut - went to Vhinese and had Chicken Maryland,....Once in a while wont hurt.

Off to bed now.

Queued from 1pm (same as Brixton) and there were more people in the queue compared to Brixton! Just wanna say hi and thanks to everyone we met in the queue (Zak, Vern, Julie, the american girl and her husband and the French people- sorry for our awful French!!) who made the time go by quickly and also hi to beansontoast who we met afterwards!! See you all again soon! The set list was:Reachin OutTie Your Mother Down - Can’t Get Enough Of Your Love - I Want To Break Free (again mostly sung by the crowd) - Fat Bottomed Girls - Crazy Little Thing Called Love (Paul on acoustic guitar) - Seagull (Roger on Bongos again- right in front of me on the sub stage wearing white pin stripe trousers- this man is Old and Flabby...!!! lol Sarah) - '39 (Brian -Mis francais est la meme que before. C’est un peu crap") - Love Of My Life - Hammer To Fall -- A Little Bit Of Love - I’m In Love With My Car (Roger on vocals + drums- messed up the words again!! Bless him!) - Guitar Solo feat.Brighton Rock + Last Horizon - These Are The Days Of Our Lives (Roger doing the fantastic ‘no change’ pointing at Brian’s hair again and a brilliant ‘Oh yeah’ at the end)- Radio Ga Ga - I Want It All (Paul on vocals this time- it rocked again!!!!!!!!!!!!!) - A Kind Of Magic - Feel Like Making Love - Bohemian Rhapsody - The Show Must Go On - All Right Now (Paul read out a banner saying ‘Roger, your angel is here’ then starting singing it in the song!LOL!) - We Will Rock You (Extra little bit of drumming at one point during the song- BRILLIANT!!!) - We Are The Champions - God Save The Queen (Roger threw the drumsticks in the air but didn’t quite manage to catch them and they went flying towards the drumkits and he hoped nobody saw but Paul was laughing at him which made Roger laugh!)The show was amazing- crowd were better than at Brixton and the band were more relaxed. We were front row centre stage - amazing.

Queen+Paul Rodgers - Champions Of The World

Ok- now back from London and Paris and I am sooooooooooooooo tired. I have copied and edited Sarahs Post so this is not entirrley mine but it sums up the gist of the trip to London then to Paris.

Finished work at 0600hrs and drove to Derek's where I left the car and he gave me a lift to the airport. My flight from Glasgow actually got in early and Sarah, Becky, Rosie and Cat were waiting on me when I touched down in Bristol so I got into the car and off we went to London!

Sarah had to put up with a series of ‘Roger is an old man’ jokes from Becky., Cat,Rosie and myself all the way! LOL! I went to sleep for a bit as I was tired, coming straight from a night shift.

Made it to Brixton by 1 and parked in a very dodgy area with free parking and walked to the Academy. By 1.30 when we arrived there were only about 20 people in front of us- thought there would be more of a queue! We all ate our packed lunches- LOL!

Trina and Jenny arrived about 2 to join us in the queue and the Old man Roger jokes were still going! Sarah danced to ‘Is this the way to Amerillo’ on my iPod and got some very odd looks. Paul Rodgers arrived and we didn’t see him so Trina and Sarah decided to go down and wait by the back door to see if we could see Roger arrive.

Brian arrived first and I shouted good luck Brian as he drove past Sarah and he stuck his thumb up at her. Next to arrive was Jamie Moses then ROGER!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHH! [Sarah goes mad] He rushed in but did give the girls a quick wave! He was dressed in a black hat and coat so no wonder they couldn’t see him through the tinted windows of the car!

More queuing- boredom! Managed to get in and buy a wrist band for Mercury Phoenix Trust @ 3 pounds. Finally got let in at 7pm and because of the bag check and the way they split the queue in two and let the other queue in slightly before us, we only got in the second row which was fine as I could still hold on to the barrier and I could easily see over Katherine and her husband in front of us! On saying that it was virtually froont row as we were so close to them and had an unobstructed view. We had found out from the nice bouncer outside that Queen were due to come on at 8.45 so we had to stand waiting in the boiling hot crowd waiting for nearly 2 hours. My legs were hurting so much!!! The lights changed a bit at 8.20 and some quiet music came on- everyone went mad but it turned out to be ‘Track 13′ from the Made in Heaven album which lasts for 22 minutes. Not sure if that went down very well- maybe a shorter version of it would be a good idea- there was lots of shouting from the crowd saying ‘get on with it’!!! So at 8.45 they were ready to go and all we got was Eminen- Lose yourself- turns out this is the song they were using the start the show!! LOL! Paul appeared from behind the curtain and sang a small bit of Reaching out which is an old charity single from 1991 which Paul and Brian played on, then Brian appears and Tie your mother down starting rocking- The set list was:
Reaching Out (Paul Rodgers solo)Tie Your Mother DownLittle Bit Of LoveI Want To Break Free (mostly sung by the crowd!!!!)Fat Bottomed Girls- brilliant- PR: Are there any fat bottomed girls here tonight?Crazy Little Thing Called Love- Paul on the guitar like Freddie used to do!—————Seagull (Paul Rodgers - acoustic guitar then half way through Roger walks down and starts playing the bongos- this was the most amazing thing Sarah has ever seen and almost died screaming!!)‘39 (Brian May vocals/acoustic)Love Of My Life (BM vocals/acoustic- empty stool next to him - maybe coz Freddie and him used to do this together sitting on stools at the front)Hammer To Fall (Slow version to start with Brian singing then Paul comes back on stage and rocks to the fast version)—————Guitar Solo- Brian stands on a high bit at the back of the stage in front of a big video screen with fast moving images of London on which goes past WWRY and ends up on the roof of Buckingham Palace)Last Horizon (Fantastic blue lights!!)

These are the day of our lives (Roger comes down the front in a white shirt with the symbol on the back and sings- When singing the ‘No change’ bit, he points at Brian’s hair!! LOL)Radio Ga Ga (Roger still down the front sings the first two verses with drums on backing track then Paul sings last verse as Roger goes back to drum)Can’t Get Enough Of Your LoveI’m In Love With My Car (Roger singing from the drums- messes up some of the words!)I Want It All (Brian sings) - A Kind Of Magic- sung by Paul- rainbow lights- cool!Bohemian Rhapsody (Freddie on the video screen singing- Paul sang rock bit at the end- Sarah didn’t even notice as she was head banging so much!) The Show Must Go On—————Feel Like Makin’ Love - All Right Now (Brilliant!)—————We Will Rock You (Paul looked at the words every 2 seconds to make sure he got this one right!!)We Are The Champions God save the Queen.

After all that we stalked for a while then headed off to the car via the Tube station with a foreign girl who had no idea where she was after the concert and wanted to meet Brian - If she had not gone with us then she would have been stuck in Brixton al night...NOT GOOD!!!!

Oh yes, met loads of people and some new ones - also saw the Tunney's ....AGAIN.

Home about 4 AM and straight to bed.
